Mastering, loudness, recording, privacy — answered. No jargon.
🚀Getting Started
WaveDisco Studio is a browser-based audio mastering tool. Upload an MP3 or WAV, adjust EQ and loudness, then export a cleaner file — no plugins, no installs required.
No account is needed to use the studio. Just upload a track and start.
MP3, WAV, and FLAC are supported for upload. Export is in WAV format (24-bit).
No. Your audio is processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server — your files stay on your device.
🎚️Mastering
Upload your track, then use the Master tab. Apply EQ to shape the tone, adjust compression to control dynamics, set a loudness target, then export. Use the before/after compare to hear the difference.
Spotify and YouTube normalize to -14 LUFS. Apple Music normalizes to -16 LUFS. TikTok targets around -13 LUFS. For most releases -14 LUFS is the safest universal starting point.
LUFS (Loudness Units Full Scale) is how streaming platforms measure perceived loudness. Tracks that are too loud get turned down automatically. Too quiet sounds weak. Targeting -14 LUFS puts your track at the right level for major streaming platforms.
Yes — that is what the studio is built for. Suno exports may benefit from LUFS normalization, tonal adjustments, and dynamic control. The Master tab lets you shape the sound and hit the right loudness target for streaming.
🎙️Recording
Yes. Open the Record tab after uploading a track. Grant microphone access in the browser, arm the recording, and sing over the backing track. You can export just the vocals or the full mix.
Any microphone works — built-in laptop mic, USB mic, or an audio interface. For best results use a quiet room and a dedicated mic.
Yes. Use headphones to avoid feedback — you will hear the track and your mic together while recording.
🎧DJ Mode
DJ Mode lets you play your track like a deck — scrub the waveform, set cue points, and loop sections. Useful for finding the best moments before exporting.
Currently DJ Mode works with the track you uploaded. Multi-track mixing is not available.
📊Analyze
It shows three values: Integrated Loudness (LUFS-I), True Peak level (dBTP), and Dynamic Range. These are the key numbers streaming platforms look at.
Yes. True Peak above 0 dBFS means the audio clips. Streaming encoders can amplify this distortion. Keep True Peak at -1 dBTP or lower — use the limiter in the Master tab to bring peaks down.
The difference between quiet and loud parts is too small — usually from over-limiting. This makes a track feel tiring to listen to. A Dynamic Range above 6 LU is generally healthy.
⬇️Export
The Export tab downloads a WAV file at the same sample rate as your upload (44.1 kHz or 48 kHz). Convert to MP3 yourself afterwards if you need a smaller file.
Master to -14 LUFS, keep True Peak at -1 dBTP or below, and export as WAV. Then upload to your distributor (DistroKid, TuneCore, etc.) — they handle the rest.
🔒Privacy
No. All processing runs inside your browser using the Web Audio API. Your audio never leaves your device.
Yes. Because everything is local, there is no risk of your files being stored or accessed by anyone else. You keep full ownership of everything you process.
